Louis Molina leaves Las Vegas Department of Public Safety; named Commissioner of NYC Jails
Less than a year after being unanimously approved by the city council to lead the Las Vegas Department of Public Safety, Louis Molina is heading back to New York. Upon his return he will be mandated by new Mayor Eric Adams to turn around a NYC Jail system plagued with controversy. In confirming Molina's departure Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman reflected on his brief tenure in Nevada while wishing him, "the best of success."
