Video: Governor Steve Sisolak's new education message? Keep students and teachers safe; schools OPEN

With students across Nevada having returned to their schools after winter break, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak sent out a tweet with a clear message attached as the first day of classes came to end.

While discussing the need to keep students and teachers, along with every staff member, safe Sisolak touched on his belief that remote learning didn't provide kids, "the educational experience that they need." He followed by stating bluntly that, "...it's important that we keep the schools open."

What this means for individual districts moving forward remains to be seen, however this could mark a clear pivot by the Governor of Nevada into alignment with President Joe Biden's belief that the nation must learn to live with Covid.
