Gonzalo Lira, Russia and the Truth:
Late last week, I saw a post from Kim Iversen, host of the Kim Iversen Show and a person with a history of seeing her work end up on Russia Today, asking for any interested and interesting guests to appear on her program this week. Despite knowing her long history of criticizing me, I reached out with an offer to join her, specifically in hopes of refuting the ongoing narratives among Russophiles and others on the fringe right regarding the cult of martyrdom that rose around Gonzalo Lira after his death last year.
As some may be aware, in 2023, I actively participated in the investigation into him, including testifying at his trial, and was, at one point in 2022, accused of murdering him. With my knowledge of the case, combined with no longer serving in the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, along with the recent flare-up in publicity about the Lira case, I knew the time had come to pull the veil back and explain the truth around Gonzalo, and where better to present this new information than directly to an audience of his core supporters.
Below are two clips from my appearance on Iversen’s program. In them, I explain that Gonzalo Lira was actively trying to trade sensitive information related to Ukraine’s war efforts to officials in Russia in exchange for a television program or documentary. Furthermore, I also made it known that he had active plans to go to Russia to facilitate these media projects.
You can watch the entire episode featuring my guest spot on Iversen’s show here: In addition to delving into the Lira saga, we also speak about my role as Sergeant in GUR, my views on Snowden, and much more.
