On June 21, I warned people about Russian plans to castrate men in Ukraine. It's time we finally confront this evil and say "Never Again" once and for all

I've posted the video, and my previous statements about it, so people can't deny, or look away from, the depraved horror of the Russian terrorists.

News of the barbaric, unfathomable act began percolating on Telegram on Thursday evening, just after dinner time in Ukraine. By Saturday, the story took its place on America’s go-to website for all things political, bizarre, and horrific the Drudge Report. 

In that short time span, further horror was unleashed on the world by Russian terrorists and Putin’s War Criminals, including videos showing burnt and dismembered bodies belonging to brave heroes of Ukraine who were being held captive in Russia’s Penal Colony 120. 

Yet, for me personally, the ramifications of Thursday’s story were still unfolding, on both personal and professional levels. 

While my Twitter suspension has been widely covered, and my reinstatement advocated for by a wide variety of my friends and fellow journalists, another aspect of the castration story hasn’t been brought up until now. 

On June 21, in the widely read LGBTQ Nation I wrote an article in which the subheader included a disturbing, almost unbelievable line - “Russian forces are hunting down gay men, raping and castrating them.”

Several days later I repeated this fact on the BBC’s Ukrainecast. 

After each time my assertion was met with skepticism.

It shouldn’t have been. 

Not only had the United Nations addressed it when covering the depraved phenomenon of the invader's animalistic, subhuman tendencies, but there was a two-decade history of this happening under Putin’s rule. 

This failure to accept what we know to be true but can’t fathom as members of a civilized society is a devastating shortcoming in a war where the enemy has sprung from the wombs of savages; soulless and with hearts filled from the loins of Cerberus. 

It is for this reason, this need to show the world proof of evil, to show the world why we must accept as truth what we ourselves cannot grasp, that I made the decision to post the castration video. 

Only by confronting the demon, will we slay the demon. 

Only by illuminating the darkness, can the flame of the victory burn brightest. 

During the coming weeks and months ever more depravity will be revealed. 

Don’t doubt, don’t look away.

Accept that evil exists.

Accept that it is more perverse, more wanton, more prevalent than we want to know.

Accept that we must destroy it, completely, or it will spread. 

Accept that if we do this then Ukraine has already won.
