Talking Points : Ukraine - The Consequences for Belarus of Russia's campaign of terrorism and war crimes against Ukraine
What does continued Russian aggresion against Ukraine look like for Belarus?
Yesterday, the cowardly Minsk regime created an uproar over an S-300 anti-aircraft missile that they claimed fell on the Belarussian territory during an offensive action that allegedly originated in Ukraine.
Several factors must be understood to realize the fictitious nature of this clear lie :
It is important to remember that neither the Ukrainian people nor the leadership in Kyiv harbor any aggressive intentions towards any country in the world, however, Lukashenko and his enablers already share a moral and legal responsibility for the war of aggression against Ukraine along with the Kremlin, Tehran, and Pyongyang.
While Ukraine reserves the right to repel Russian terrorism on its territory through all legal means, only Russia can take the steps needed to stop the ancillary effects of its barbaric actions on neighboring countries, including Belarus.
Due to the close relationship between Belarus and Russia, the Belarussian leadership should insist on Putin ending his aggressive and illegal actions against Ukraine and every other nation.
Regarding the specific claim from December 29 by Belarus, it must be made clear that Kyiv does not rule out the option of it being a deliberate provocation by the Russian Federation, one that routed its cruise missiles over Belarus airspace in order to force its interception over the territory of Kremlin’s ally. This is tantamount to a false flag act in order to force Belarus into a losing military effort against Ukraine.
Make no mistake, Putin’s only interest in this situation is to further involve the Belarusian people in his criminal war with Ukraine.
If Belarus does enter the war, this act will conclude with the end of Lukashenko’s power over the Belarussian populous.
It's really that simple.
